You know, it would be much better crating her during the time you are away. People can get into those kennels and steal your dog, your dog could get cold, or too warm. Also, your dog could start barking and annoying the neighbours.

My kennel, is a chain link one, it's great for my dogs to go outside to poop and sniff around for a few minutes, other than that they are inside.

Our kennel is 10 feet by 20. We don't use it for excercise, we power walk the dogs.

I would really not recommend it for an all day place for your dog. It could cause problems.

Wouldn't it be great if people would actually answer your question instead of judging your decisions about what to do with your dog?! Wow...that irritates me. Anyway....check out the links below...I think they'll help you out.

I think it is perfectly fine to leave your pup out as long as she has shade or some way to get in out of the elements. (e.g. a dog house in the pen)
I googled chain link fence/pen.
Good luck with this!

What if someone steals your dog?
What if your dog digs out?
What if your dog gets loose and hit by a car?
What if your dog is barking all day long and the neighbors get mad at you and call animal control? What would you do if your dog was taken away from you or you were fined?
What if your dog bites someone?
What if it rains, pours, if there is a tornado, flood, snow..? ect...

Things like this happen when dogs are left unsupervised!!

Your dogs needs to have a safe place where it can't be bothered, stollen and your dog needs to be safe from the elements.

I would suggest crate training or a pet sitter....
