Default Suggestions on how to kennel train my dog.?

I've had my puppy for 8 months and she's about 10 months old. (its a guess because she was a rescue) I tried kennel training her when I first brought her home but she whined horribly. I should have kept up with it, but out of respect for my neighbors (I live in an apartment) and after a complaint, I gave in and stopped. She then started sleeping with me, and staying free in my room when I was working. And she was fine. Recently, she has started getting into trouble when left alone. I got her a new kennel as she out grew the first one. She was fine the first couple of days in the new kennel, but she quickly figured out how to push the tray out of the bottom, which resulted in chewing the carpet again. I know consistency is the most important key in getting her kennel trainied, but she seems to go into an anxiety attack when I put her in. The treats don't work anymore, she starts shaking and whining and hiding with her tail down. Any suggestions?
I have also tried putting a towl or blanket in the kennel to make it more comfortable but she shreds it. The same with covering the kennel, she pulls the blanket throught the bars and tears it up.

You could try a plastic kennel and a Kong toy. They're meant to be chewed (if she's a big time chewer, go for the black Kongs, they're tougher) and can be stuffed with goodies to keep her occuppied. Make the stuffed Kong a kennel-only treat. Put her in the kennel with it for a few minutes while you are at home, then let her out, but make sure the kong stays in the kennel. This lets her know the kennel is not a bad place, but a good one and that you're not putting her in there forever.

Another thing you should consider doing is getting her enrolled in a training class. Smart dogs tend to "get into trouble" more than most, because they get bored. When you get into the class, you will be able to ask your trainer any questions you want, and being that he/she will know you and your dog, he/she will be able to offer more insights that we can on here to any problems you may have now or in the future.

Good luck.
