I think it really depends on the dog himself/herself. For example, I know of two Scotties that one was completely the calmest dog I had ever met, and the other is an irrational, untrained, biting dog that loves to run away.

well, we have had golden retrievers in the past. probably the easiest dog in the world to train. seems like they trained over night. my mini though, can be a bit stubborn. she knows what i am saying to do, but reacts like a cat: i will come when i want, thank you. i mean, she is trained, but it takes a heck of a lot more work that it did with our goldens. so to answer, my opinion is it is easier to train the larger breed.

i would say it all depends on the breed. Small breeds can be just as hard headed as Large breeds.

I have found it easier to train my larger breed (lab) than my smaller dog (english springer). It may be because my lab is a girl and the spinger is a boy, I am not sure.

Large breeds are more patient, i think largeer breeds are smarter, therefore easier to train.

I would narrow it down more to the breed.
