Default I have a 7 year old female rescued dog (maltese) just got her yesterday. She licks

ALOT before she lays down! She licks and licks and licks until the area, crate towel, couch, my lap is soaked and then she comfortably just lies down right next to the spot. Why???

well she just has a reaction or something bad in her body! Thats what happened to my dog and it could have been a life or death thing but luckely the got him all fixed up so check with your vetrinarian and get her checked out and if it is just nothing then tell her to stop and put some antibiotics on it!

Mine does too... he's is a boy though. I think it's because she is thanking you for bringing her to a good home. I really want to ask this question too. Mines around 6 or 7 too! He's a Dobberman. Sorry, I think it's because you gave her a good home, (my dog and yours were rescued) and they just want to give their thanks.
