a springer spaniel? what are some good dog breeds to have i want to adopt when im 18

If you have kids I would say a golden retriever is about the friendliest dog there is.... If you can't tolerate the shedding though you may want to go for the lab.

I also have a springer spaniel. He is very territorial, I have a female lab and they get a long great.

It really depends on what your lifestyle is like. Some of the breeds I like are:

Golden Retriever
Lab
Cocker Spaniel
Border Collie
Australian Shepherd
Chihuahua
I don't know what else right now.

I would base the breed you get based on the following factors:

Kids
Time
Yard (Size, fence, ect.)
House Size
Excercise
Etc.
