A good, ethical breeder of Purebred dogs works to improve their breed. They show, they volunteer, they go to seminars, meetings, dog clubs, they take continuing education courses, etc. etc. Then...along comes the mutt breeder. They breed junk to junk. They then sell that junk to an unsuspecting family. The dog dies, has serious health issues, has temperment issues, etc. and the family blames the "breeder". You know that bad news travels fast, it gets out that this piece of junk dog was purchased from a "breeder" and therefore now ALL breeders get a bad name.
