Re: Do you think I should tip when I pick up my dogs from the pet resort...
tipping is not required, it is appreciated. as far as who gets it, at my kennel, we keep all the tips saved up and then after we have like $300, we all get together and do something for a night. splitting it up is too hard b/c we all work different amounts of hours. however, if they are "waiting" for a tip, then i wouldnt give them anything. they shouldnt assume that everyone will tip, b/c most do not.
honestly, i would switch kennels. any kennel that considers group play to be extra is not in for the dogs best interest. and $50 plus extra for group play? that is more than my kennel, and we do not charge extra for anything except grooming and treats (if you choose to use either). if the facility has "extras" such as group play, walks, individual petting time, etc, then they should not be more than 20-30 bucks a night. our kennel charges 45 during holidays, 35 during non holidays and all dogs get to be outside playing all day with us, not locked in a kennel all day with a short 5 minuites to relieve themselves. i think you are getting ripped off
