LOL...I work for a vet and a lot of times we hear it prounounced "Datsun", like the car!!!

I've always heard it pronounced "dock-sund".

Here in America,it is pronounced doxen,in German it is dox hoont.Yet,in English it is probably best to pronounce it dox hun.

Dachs-hundt. Really. It's German. Or you can just call them wiener dogs and everyone will know what breed you mean.
