Our 175lb English Mastiff is lonely. What would be the best breed of dog...

...to look at as a companion? Birdie is a gentle giant. She is more social than alot of the people I know. We hate that she is alone all day. What would be a good breed of dog to look at as a companion for her?My em is jimc1954 at yahoo.
