You should try Canidae. It's an very good all stage dog food. It doesn't contain any ingredients like corn or wheal which are not good for dogs. It is made in the USA so you don't need to worry about issues of products that come from China. It's also great for dogs that have allergy or skin problems. I have two golden retrievers and they came from their breeder eating this food. They both thrive on it. Both have wonderful coats and the poop is smaller.

I wouldn't call any commercial food 'the best'. Dogs are CARNIVORES - they do not need (and cannot properly digest) grains, vegetables, fruit and cooked meat.**see the first article**

If you really want to feed your dog the BEST food then look into a carnivorous RAW diet. This means raw meat, edible bones and offal. If you google Tom Lonsdale and raw meaty bones you will find numerous articles by this vet who is an advocate of raw feeding for optimum health.

I agree with drb. Go to dogfoodanalysis.com they rank dog food brands based on ingredients. Try to get something with 6 or 5 stars.

Of course it would depend on the availability of the product in your area. So before going to the site, check out the products available near you. I give my JRT Canidae and Solid Gold since those are the only ones available here.
