Default Homemade dog food and corn?

I'm making my first batch of homemade dog food. I have a dog with a possible liver problem, so I'm using a meal recommended for dogs with liver problems. Anyways, it calls for a bag of mixed veggies. Isn't corn bad for dogs? Should I remove the corn, before cooking it?
