will i feed her? i also tried to give him milk, a milk mixed with dog food. she eats but have a very small appetite. im afraid shell get thin. pls help me improve her appetite!

I am all about the BARF (odd name) diet! My Jack Russell is loving his new life right now. The vets will talk you out of it but Im telling you that my dog was almost dead. They were telling me they suspects he has intestinal cancer...I stopped all of the stinking pills they gave me and started to feed raw. AWESOME!!!! He had an eye condition...cleared up. He had intestinal problems...gone. His jaw bones were weakening...seem to be the strongest they have ever been. Also diagnosed with Addisons, which requires a shot every 28 days...Im now a month over due and his electrolytes are stable and great!
I dont recommend the milk though. I usually feed my guy some raw beef or chicken wings, a scoop of cottage cheese(probiotic) and some veggies ( carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, alfalfa sprouts) Maybe for dessert an apple with a dollop of peanut butter (natural of course)
If you are worried about salmonella, all you need to do is pour some apple cider vinegar on the chicken. That will kill any bacteria or you can freeze it for a month, also works well.

If all of this is too overwhelming for you then you should try Natures balance. all you have to do is thaw it out and voila! Dinner!

Feed your dog dog food...when she is hungry enough she will eat!

If you just got her its gonna take a day or two to settle in. Do you have much of an appetite when your nervous? If she is under 10 weeks old then she's too young to be taken away from her mom by the way. Sometimes they have trouble eating hard kibble. Don't ever give dog any type of human foods. Most human foods have sugar in them, which are addicting and as a result, a fat dog. Are you feeding a quality food? Make sure you've got her on a good quality puppy food, not Iams, Purina, Pedigree, Beneful, Ol Roy, Eukanuba, Science Diet or anything sold at the super market. Look for brands such as Candaie, Natural Balance, Natural Choice, Eagle Pack, Dick Van Patten, California Nautral and Innova.
Give him time to settle in, when she is hungry, She will eat. Leave some food out. Once she has gotton the whole eating food thing down, feed 3 meals a day, do not leave any food out.

You absolutely have to feed her dog food...it is non-negotiable. Whether it is a higher-end store brand (Science Diet, etc.), or an all-natural independently-owned brand (Solid Gold...I swear by it), it has to be made for dogs.

On the contrary, there are dog-food recipes which provide you the knowledge and ingredients to make your own homemade dog food, some pet owners even opt to make a big batch and freeze individual portions in Ziploc bags for their pooches. Step away from the MILK!! Lactose is not good for dogs in that form and it will more than likely result in digestive issues (diarrhea, excessive gas, etc.) and she will be miserable. just give her dry dog food when seh gets hungry she will eat. milk isn't good for dogs. if you give milk you should give goats milk. She is a puppy you need totrain her on what she will eat.
if she were a child would you let tehm decide or as I was taught as a child hers what was prepard eat it or go hungry yes times I wouldn't eat and after a while I would eat and now I'm overweight.
