Default Royal Canin Dog Food for Boxers?

I have a 6 years old Boxer who is just full of energy and life. I currently feed her Iams but it makes her gasy and she's slowly gaining weight. part of it is the table scraps. But I'm thinking of changing her food over to Royal Canin. I've heard some good things but wanted to know if anyone out there either uses it or has any good experiences with Royal Canin they can share? Thanks!

on here it is only rated a 3 out of 6 stars. i dont feed my dog anything less than 5. my dog eats chicken soup for the dog lover's soul dog food. i highly reccomend it. he loves it and it is good for him. a lot better than royal canin

Both are bad foods. I would not suggest using Iams, Eukanuba, Royal Canin, Purina, Pedigree, or any of those 'popular' foods. They have a very poor ingredient list, and most of the protein comes from corn and soy instead of meat.

My suggestion is Innova Evo, it is high protein, grain free, and low allergy. Perfect for high-energy boxers who tend to have skin and coat problems. Also, since it's got no grains, it causes less poop and less gas than other foods. It's also low-carb, which would help keep the extra weight off her.

Here are some other great brands to consider:
Merrick, Artemis, California Natural, Professional, Chicken Soup, Eagle, Solid Gold, Fromm.
