Default what kind of dog food does not give a dog gas?

Merrick is a RICH food. I'm not sure if you're feeding dry kibble only, or if you're mixing in the canned varieties as well. If you're using canned, I would buy a couple of cases of one type and see how she reacts to it. Gas can come from switching varieties of the canned, or perhaps the kibble is too rich for her. I had my boy on Merrick for a few months and he could CLEAR OUT A ROOM most nights. If her stool is ok and not loose, I would try a different protein source of the kibble before switching brands of food entirely(if she is on Turducken, I would try Cowboy Cookout for example)and not play around too much with the canned varieties. Good luck!

How long has the dog been on the food? It may take up to a month or six weeks for your dog's system to get fully adjusted to it.

If your dog has already been on it for a while, then it likely just isn't the best food for your dog. Even high-quality foods are not one-size-fits-all. What jives with one dog may not jive with the next dog.

(Disclaimer: There's absolutely nothing wrong with Merrick, it's a great food. It's what I primarily feed my dog and she has nearly zero flatulence because it agrees with her well. But what works best for my dog isn't best for every dog out there.)

It all boils down to finding the high-quality food that *your dog* does best on.

Here are some more high-quality foods to try:
* Artemis FreshMix
* Blue Buffalo
* California Natural
* Canidae
* Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul
* Eagle Pack Holistic Selects
* EVO
* Fromm
* Innova
* Merrick
* Nature's Variety 'Instinct'
* Nature's Variety 'Prairie'
* Orijen
* Solid Gold
* Taste of the Wild
* Timberwolf Organics
* Wellness
* Wellness CORE
* ZiwiPeak

A change of food can cause gas. Give you girl some yogurt she may have a lack of good bacteria in her gut.
