Default Do I have a gripe?

Hi all! First off, I have been a fan of this forum for a while now. From what I have read most posters have a tremendous amount of knowledge and insight on dogs. This leads me to my question. My wife and I have had a difficult time finding a groomer who would groom our wheaten terrier. We rescued him last year and he has always been a difficult dog to brush and keep maintained. I’m not sure what happened to him prior to us adopting him, but clearly he does not like being groomed! Thus, my wife called various groomers here in the Orlando area who would groom him while sedated. We finally found one who agreed to groom him. GREAT or so we thought. We took our dog in for his grooming. My wife provided a picture and specific instruction on how we wanted him groomed. We came back 7 hours later and find our dog completely shaved and with a tremendous amount of nicks and cuts on his neck, legs and belly. Clearly they did not sedate him, as he has all those nicks and cuts on his body! My wife told the groomer he looks nothing like what we wanted. My wife asked the groomer why she did not use scissors and thinning shears to cut our dogs hair. She said and I quote “I would never use scissors! That would take me all day”. After saying this she got up and walked to away. My wife and I left the groomers clearly upset. We didn’t get so much as an apology let a lone a refund. We could care less about the money, but we felt like an apology was in order. Are we being unreasonable to think the groomer should have sedated and used scissors on our dog? We did not want our dog to be harmed and traumatized by this grooming experience and he most definitely was. He has moped around the house since returning from the groomer.
